This Privacy policy explains how KaamTasker (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our website and services in Pakistan. By creating an account or using KaamTasker, you agree to this policy.
KaamTasker is a local marketplace that helps people post kaams (tasks) and hire taskers across Pakistan. For privacy questions, use Account → Contact us.
We may collect:
• Account details — mobile number, name, email (if you add one), profile photo, and role preferences (poster / tasker).
• Tasker profile details — bio, areas, categories, CNIC or verification information you choose to submit, and public profile content.
• Marketplace activity — kaams you post, offers, messages, photos you upload, dispute messages, support tickets, reviews, and payment-related records shown in the app.
• Device and usage data — app language, notification preferences, approximate area or city you select for browsing or posting, and basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
• Safety acknowledgements — records that you consented to Safety tips when you confirm them in the app.
We use personal information to:
• Create and secure your account (including OTP sign-in).
• Show and manage kaams, offers, messages, payments status, disputes, and support tickets.
• Verify taskers, moderate content against community guidelines, and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Send alerts you enable (task updates, keyword alerts, reminders) by push, SMS, or email where available.
• Improve safety, reliability, and product features.
• Comply with applicable Pakistani law and respond to lawful requests.
We share information only as needed to operate the marketplace:
• With other users — your public name or profile, task details you post, offers you make, and messages you send on a kaam or dispute.
• With service providers — such as hosting, authentication, database, and storage partners that process data on our instructions (for example Supabase).
• With administrators — for verification reviews, dispute decisions, and support tickets.
• When required by law — if Pakistani authorities lawfully request information, or to protect users from harm or fraud.
We do not sell your personal information.
KaamTasker tracks held and released amounts for hired kaams and may store payment-method labels or billing details you enter. Card or bank processing, if enabled, may be handled by payment partners under their own terms. Keep payments on the platform; do not share bank passwords or OTPs with other users.
We keep account and marketplace records for as long as your account is active and as needed for disputes, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal obligations. If you delete your account from Account information, we remove or anonymise personal data that is no longer required, except where we must retain records under law.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect accounts and data (including authenticated access and access controls). No online service is completely secure — protect your device, never share OTPs, and contact support if you suspect misuse.
Depending on applicable Pakistani law and our capabilities in the product, you may:
• Update profile, email, and notification preferences in Account.
• Request access to or correction of personal information via Contact us.
• Delete your account from Account information (subject to open kaams, payments, or disputes that must be closed first).
• Opt out of non-essential alerts in Notification preferences.
We aim to handle privacy requests fairly and within a reasonable time.
KaamTasker is intended for adults who can form a binding contract under Pakistani law. Do not use the service if you are under 18.
We may update this Privacy policy as the product or law changes. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
